Stella is doing wonderfully in her training! We are very proud of her.
She has started on her Public Access work and is doing very well. Stella
has passed her Puppy S.T.A.R. Her obedience is really coming along and
she has a wonderful sunny personality! She is a quick learner and is FUN
to train.
Stella has been paired with her future Battle Buddy.

This handsome fella is Champ. Champ comes to us through North East Animal
Rescue Inc. (NEAR). He is currently living in PA with his dog raiser and
mentor Service Dog Rocket. Champ was scheduled to be euthanized in a
NYC shelter because he had kennel cough and a wound on his tail. However,
he was pulled at the request of his dog raiser by Ruff House Rescue. Here's
where we come in. NEAR called us about his potential as a Service Dog.
After speaking to his dog raiser (who owner trained her own Service Dog)
and watching videos that she sent us we decided to bring him into the
program. Champ is far along in his training. He is working on Public Access
work and can pull a wheelchair. Because of his pulling ability (after all he is
a Pit Bull). Check out our Facebook (Mutts With A Mission) page for video
of Champ not only pulling a wheelchair but doing Public Access Work.
Champ is not paired with his Battle Buddy. Please fill out an application if
you are interested.
Tig - She comes to us again from NEAR. She is a 1 year old mixed breed. Tig looks like she has
some bull terrier in her and once again, who knows what else! She has just entered the program so
we will keep you posted as she progresses in her training!
