Mission Statement:

The purpose of Mutts With A Mission, Inc. is to select and train dogs from rescues or shelters to
become service dogs for American Veterans and Wounded Warriors with the intent that the individuals
regain the independence and freedom they once enjoyed.

Who We Are:

Mutts With A Mission is a non-profit organization founded in late 2008 that is dedicated to training
rescue and shelter dogs to assist American Veterans and Wounded Warriors who have physical and
psychological disabilities so that they may once again regain their independence and freedom.

We are a home based program that allows the dogs to become well adjusted to a family lifestyle. Each
dog learns to socialize with other dogs, cats, children, chickens, livestock, and other individuals. The
dogs all have their personal training and exercise time each day as well as individual and group
playtime and other activities.

The dogs that we work with come from either breed rescues, shelters, or are generously donated by
breeders. By utilizing these dogs we are able to do our part to alleviate some of the unwanted dog
population. Dogs that were once no longer wanted become invaluable members of their human
partner's life. Together the team can go out and regain their freedom and independence.

Our goal is to provide well trained service dogs to those in need at a minimal cost to the individual.

Once fully trained our dogs are worth $16,000 to $20,000. This excludes all specialized equipment and
cost of travel for both the dog and a trainer for partnership training. There is an option for the individual
being partnered with the dog to travel to our facility and complete the program. Lodging and meals will
be the responsibility of the individual. It is our goal for the military member to pay nothing for their fully
trained Service Dog! We may ask for the individual to participate in fundraising for their dog.

This organization was founded because of the overwhelming number of soldiers who have
sacrificed to keep our great country free. The number of soldiers returning from Iraq and
Afghanistan with life altering injuries is staggering and we want to help these incredible individuals.
We also include anyone having served on Active Duty both Stateside and Overseas. Having served
in the military ourselves we want to help our fellow Veterans and Wounded Warriors. This is our
way of saying THANK YOU!!!!!
